spot with a time of 1:38.91 after a bobble-filled run.
Jamie had a mishap with donning the pack at the start of the race and was nearly
10 seconds
behind Adam MacNeil
(NXG2 Halifax Beasts from the East )
but made a remarkable
recovery
and passed him by the time they reached the force machine. However Jamie
received
a 2 second penalty when the rubber mallet bounced out of the designated area at
the
end of this component of the run. There was a small hang up with the bottle
exchange
when the strap got locked before the bottle was fully in place, but they still
managed
to compete the transition and headed through the hydrants before the Halifax
team.
In an effort to regain lost time and try to keep a time close to their PB of
1.26, Matt
lost his footing nearing the 50ft mark of the dummy drag and fell. Despite
Matt's
quick recovery, the fall allowed Bruce Mosher of the Halifax team to catch up
and
pass them, finishing 2 seconds sooner.

Temperatures were up over 30 degrees and they were the final races that were run
